Welcome to GrapeLeavesOnline. This is a place for you to find my thoughts on many things wine with a concentration on Maryland and Virginia wineries. There are a great number of excellent local wines to be tasted and enjoyed and I will share with you what I discover in my regional travels. I will also blog from time to time about local wine bars or restaurants with an impressive wine list. Finally, I will have a section devoted to wines from all over the world that I try in passing. I hope you enjoy the blogs and get some good ideas for what is out there for you to enjoy.
Who am I? I am a fan of wine. I have taken some classes including ABC's of Wine and Wine and Sprit Education Trust Intermediate Level. However, I am not a wine professional or even in the wine industry (yet). Mostly I just make it a point to get to area wineries and wine shops and taste, taste, taste. Learning about wine shouldn't be overwhelming or scary and hopefully some of my blogging will help others select something to go with dinner, that next housewarming gift, or a great set of wineries to round out a getaway weekend.
